Crazy Energy!

What an incredible game! A "you had to be the moment" with the excitement, energy, and hustle; it was a great experience!
After an action packed B-team game, where this A-team helped push their teammates with words of encouragement and powerful cheers, it was time for the A-team to play their first game of the season! The first set really set the tone for the match: points were traded back and forth with long rallies and great serving from both teams. The young Tigers were able to put away the first competitive set 25-21 with pride and confidence going into the second set.

It was the second set that had both USN and Lipscomb focusing like never before. This high intensity game ended with a Tigers loss, but it was too incredible to be disappointed. There were diving plays, attempted spikes, and USN Tigers tracking the ball out-of-bounds to make plays! The 29-31 score reflected the resilience and stamina of two determined teams. It was Lipscomb’s strong overhand serving that was able to pave the way for their well earned win.

Down to the wire, USN has to regroup and focus just a little bit longer! With the game only going to 15 points in the third set, there was less room for error. Despite this pressure Caroline Semler, Avery Horst, and Savannah Ross were able to earn 7 aces (when the ball served by one team is unreturned by the other team/only touched by one player, resulting in an immediate point) to help secure the win! Every rally mattered, yet the Tigers stayed disciplined and were able to earn the win, 16-14 (another nail biter-have to win by two set).

What a strong first game of the season! Come support this fun team as they continue to work hard and play harder everyday!
