University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Grabs Lead in Ninth Inning for Victory Over Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars

University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers snagged a late lead and defeated Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars 4-3 on Wednesday.  The game was tied at three with University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers batting in the top of the ninth when Mahoney Daunic grounded out, scoring one run.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers notched three runs in the seventh inning.  Owen Block and Townsend Stevenson each drove in runs during the inning.
 
Block pitched University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers to victory. The righthander allowed five hits and one run over five innings, striking out eight and walking one.
 
Evan Ozolins took the loss for Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars. Ozolins allowed two hits and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
 
Stevenson started the game for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out seven Cole Smith started the game for Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out six
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers collected ten hits.  Block, Joseph Ozenne, and Grant Reilly all collected multiple hits for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  Reilly, Ozenne, and Block all had two hits to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Dylan Washko made the most plays with  15.
 
Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars collected eight hits on the day.  Rudy Sleigh and Harrison Cassle each had multiple hits for Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars.  Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars didn't commit a single error in the field. Sleigh had  nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
