Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers Nearly Erases 9-Run Deficit in Loss to University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers

University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers built a nine-run lead in the second inning and then held off Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers's charge for a 14-12 victory on Saturday.  Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers managed ten runs in the failed comeback. Gavin Gadsey, Landon Harper,  Hayden Waller, Ty Clark, Gadsey, and Gadsey came through with RBIs to lead the rally.
 
Alexander Peck led University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers to victory by driving in six runs.  Peck went 2-for-4 at the plate.  Peck drove in runs on a grand slam in the second and a double in the second.
 
Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers got things started in the first inning.  Ty Lively's sac fly scored two runs for Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers.
 
Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers scored four runs in the seventh inning.  The big inning for Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers came thanks to a walk by Gadsey, a sacrifice fly by Jude Wascom, and a double by Harper.
 
Aidan Savona earned the victory on the hill for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righthander went four innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out three.  Peck threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Logan Kinnard was on the hill for Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers. The pitcher lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and six runs.  Lively and Luke Gaunt entered the game as relief, throwing five innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
 
Grant Reilly started the game for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty surrendered six runs on five hits over two innings, striking out one
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers smacked one home run on the day. Peck had a dinger in the second inning.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers racked up 11 hits.  Owen Block, Savona, and Peck all managed multiple hits for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  Peck, Savona, and Block each collected two hits to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Townsend Stevenson had the most chances in the field with six.
 
Harper went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers in hits.
