Late Score Costs University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Against Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity

University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers stayed in it until the end, but Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity pulled away late in a 6-3 victory on Tuesday.  The game was tied at three with Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored three runs for Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers lost despite out-hitting Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity eight to four.
 
Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity got things started in the first inning when England Bryan drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers scored three runs in the fifth inning.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers put the pressure on, lead by an error on a ball put in play by Dylan Washko and a double by Mahoney Daunic.
 
Bryan got the win for Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking one.  Tyler Casserly and Drew Massengale entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
 
Townsend Stevenson took the loss for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty surrendered six runs on four hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers racked up eight hits on the day.  Alexander Peck and Daunic each managed multiple hits for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  Daunic and Peck all had two hits to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.
 
Brooks Jones led Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars Varsity with two hits in four at bats.
