University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Grabs Lead in Eighth Inning to Defeat Pope John Paul Prep

University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers ran off with the lead late in the game in an 11-3 victory over Pope John Paul Prep on Saturday.  The game was tied at three with University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers batting in the top of the eighth when University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers scored two runs on a stolen base.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the eighth inning.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers batters contributing to the big inning included Townsend Stevenson, Aidan Savona, Quinn Powers, and Alexander Peck, all knocking in runs in the inning.
 
Powers earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out five.  Mahoney Daunic threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Stevenson started the game for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking one
 
Carson Darr went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers in hits.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Dylan Washko had the most chances in the field with 11.
 
#2 led Pope John Paul Prep with two hits in four at bats.
