Celebrate Hispanic Heritage on Sept. 30

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the USN community is invited to enjoy an evening of activities, music, and authentic cuisine on Friday, September 30.
Hispanic Heritage Month began Thursday, September 15 and runs through Saturday, October 15. In celebration of the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, a few groups within the University School of Nashville community are teaming up to host a Hispanic heritage celebration on Friday, September 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Durnan Auditorium.

Join High School student groups Aliados and Lucha along with the parent & family affinity group HOLA for an evening of fun while learning more about the melting pot that is Hispanic culture. Family-friendly games, authentic food, music & performances will showcase a variety of cultures from Hispanic countries.

"USN is an amazing school with a lot of diversity, which I think is amazing. It gives us the opportunity to learn from one another and grow," Aliados Student Leader Ximena Segoviano '23 shared. "... the Hispanic Heritage Celebration is a perfect time to do this while also further uniting the community in a night of celebration."

All USN families are welcome to attend. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12; tickets will be sold at the door. Proceeds from the celebration will be donated to Nashville International Center for Empowerment
