Girls' Varsity Opens 2019 Campaign

Our girls' varsity team kicked off its season on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at a familiar spot: Cheekwood Golf Club in Franklin against BGA, a worthy opponent led by last year's HVAC runner-up individual (who shot a 33).

Our girls battled and had ups and downs throughout the round. Kate Vaughn '24 posted USN's low-round score with a steady 40, finishing the round with three straight pars. Dalton Vaughn '25 lit the crowd up on the ninth green with a 55-foot putt to save par. She absolutely drained it. Emily Law '24 played well, as did teammate Ainsley Moore '24 who found her groove mid-round.

It's going to be fun watching this "dream team" get after it this season.
  • Kate Vaughn - 40
  • Ainsley Moore - 44
  • Dalton Vaughn - 48
  • Emily Law - 49
