Get creative with LEGOs in Hassenfeld Library

Hassenfeld Library will host a LEGO gallery display at USN for our builders to show off their work. Read the article to see how you can get started creating an original LEGO build to display in the Tibbott Gallery in January.

It’s time to pull out the LEGO bricks and get creative! Our beloved Nashville Public Library is unable to host their annual LEGO competition in January. Instead, USN's Hassenfeld Library will host a LEGO gallery display for our builders to showcase their work.

Put on your thinking caps and start designing an ORIGINAL creation. You may work alone, with a friend, or with your family. The display will happen the week of January 20th - 23rd, 2026, in the Tibbott Gallery, with a culminating event on Saturday, January 24th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. We wanted to give you plenty of time to get started on your builds!

Guidelines for Get Creative with LEGOs
  • Use your own LEGO, DUPLO, Mega Bloks, or other LEGO-compatible plastic bricks.
  • Design an original creation - not a LEGO kit, idea found online, etc.  You may work alone or in a group.
  • Please include a notecard with a title for your creation, name(s), and grade(s) of the builders.
  • Drop off completed projects January 20th-23rd in the Tibbott Gallery Hallway at USN (outside Sperling Gym).
  • Join us for coffee and snacks on Saturday, January 24th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Builders, try to be on hand from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. to showcase and tell about your creation!
  • Take home your creation at the end of the event on Saturday.
