Tigers Open Action at HVAC Championships

We had an outstanding Day #1 at the HVAC finals!

Our Boys and Girls teams both scored 13 points already in field events finals:

-Holly Schreiber: 2nd place in PV - 8'0" (8 points)
-Lia Payne: 4th place in HJ - 4'6" (5 points)

-Jordan Turner: 3rd place in HJ - 5'4" (6 points)
-Jonathan Nichols: 3rd place in DT - 100'6" (6 points)
-Jordan Turner: 8th place in SP - 33'11.5" (1 point)

Remember, the scoring is top 8 places and our team score is the sum of the 15 events (5 field events, 5 open races, 4 relays, 1 hurdles race):
1st-10, 2nd-8, 3rd-6, 4th-5, 5th-4, 6th-3, 7th-2, 8th-1

We also had great performances in the qualifying prelims (including a lot of PR's indicated by an asterisk*):

HH: Lia 20.70*, Jaimie 21.47*
100: Chloe 13.09 (qualified 1st), Alima 13.30* (qualified 3rd), Holly 14.42
200: Chloe 27.46 (qualified 1st), Eva 28.27 (qualified 4th), Lia 29.40*
400: Eva 63.38* (qualified 4th), Latham 69.14*, Eleanor 69.42*

HH: Jordan 16.88 (qualified 1st), Reed 20.46*
100: Jordan 11.99 (qualified 1st), Dwayne 14.00
200: Jordan 25.39 (qualified 2nd), Joshua 26.15* (qualified 5th)
400: Joshua 55.28* (qualified 1st), Jordan 55.97* (qualified 3rd), Jonathan 57.16* (qualified 6th)

Notice that we had the top qualifier in 5 out of 8 races!!
That is incredible. And we had 7 other qualifiers, giving us 12 total. The top 3 finishers in each event earn a medal (we have 3 already from field events)...

Friday is going to be a great meet to participate in and watch, starting at 4:00pm! I appreciate all of the team members and families who came to watch and cheer today. Bring that same enthusiasm on Friday!
