USN Shows Grit in Rain-Soaked Meet

Despite the weather, we competed well in our dual meet against Harding Academy. In terms of team scoring, our Boys Team won with 64 points, and our Girls Team won with 63 points.

Boys Event Winners: 4x100 (Jackson, Reed, Brock, Joshua G.) 56.99, 4x800 (Christopher, Piers, Oliver, Jonathan) 10:35.39, 100-Jordan Turner 12.29, 4x200 (Brandon, Jack, Daniel, Kyle) 2:37.30,  400-Jonathan Nichols 60.42, 800-Piers Mason 2:31.04, 200-Jordan Turner 24.96, 4x400 (Joshua G., Oliver, Reed, Jonathan) 4:35.40
 
(We actually won every running event that we competed in...)
 
Other Highlights and Shout-outs:
-Laura Grace PR'ed in the shot-put for the third meet in a row with a 23'5" in the day's only field event.
-Jordan and Chloe swept the 100 and 200 again with ease. Hopefully, they will have more competition next meet at FRA... 
-Eva ran a 65.25 in the 400! That's very fast and 5 seconds faster than she ran a week ago in her first ever 400.
-Jackson PR'ed for the third meet in a row in the 100 (13.26), as well as placing 2nd overall in the 200 (28.20) and running a leg on our winning 4x100 team. 
-Oliver stepped in and ran a leg on the winning 4x800 team as well as the winning 4x400 team and ran the 2nd fastest open 400 (66.90).
-Brock ran a leg on our winning 4x100 team and won his heat of the 100 (14.25) with one of the top 5 times on the team this year.
