JV dominates in first home match

Eight different Tigers scored in a solid team win over Blackman High School.
Our newcomers stole the show in the first home JV match of the season. Erika Galli and Gemma Jefferson, both freshmen, combined for four goals on the day. Jillian Horton and Dabney Moore were solid on defense, knocking the ball down and getting it to their teammates. Sarah Jacobs had the play of the day with a caused turnover and a ground ball in a goal-stopping play. Our swing players dominated our draw controls, combining for six of our team's nine draw controls. Both goalies, Lydia West and Olivia Wierum, each got a shutout in their respective halves. The team will have a break until April, when they will face Father Ryan.
