The season opener proved to be a challenge for the USN Tigers. Losing to Ezell Harding (21-25, 18-25, 18-25), the Tigers only played the first sets with the varsity lineup. The remaining sets were played with future varsity players and rising stars of the program. Despite the difference in roster, the Tigers played hard, showed passion, and fought to the very end. The strong serves from our opponent is what kept the Tigers from a win last night. The team finished with a total of 60 digs, 8 serve aces, and 3 blocks. Lindsay Hardy led the team with 8 kills. The Tigers play again at home on Thursday, August 21 against the powerful St. Cecilia Academy.
