HS Mountain Bike Team Races in Memphis

The USN mountain bike team fielded 3 riders for the 3rd race of the season near Memphis, but managed to hold onto a 3rd place overall position in the team points standing.
Senior Natascha Heckers, Junior Skye Cameron and Sophomore Sam Markland all raced strongly in the third race of the TN League's first season of competitive mountain biking. Held on a fast and mostly flat but root-filled trail around Herb Parsons Lake near Collierville, the three riders improved on their previous race performances and together earned enough points to keep USN in the 3rd place position for the overall team standings, behind strong teams from Marshall County and Saint Andrews-Sewanee.

Junior Skye Cameron posted the team's fastest lap time of the day, covering the last 4.9 mile loop of his 3-lap race in 24:21

Full league results are posted on the TN HS Cycling League website.

The final state championship race is close to Nashville at Lock 4 Park near Gallatin on Sunday, November 17th.
