NCS defeats Tigers in Nail-Biter

The tigers played host to a talented team from Nashville Christian School on Friday afternoon. This was another fun game for the fans to watch. NCS led for most of the game as they had a very physical and gifted basketball team. At one point in the second half the Tigers found themselves down by 8 points. They battled back however with a tremendous effort in the third quarter to take the lead by heading into the fourth. It was back and forth for the next six minutes in what a thriller. The Tigers were down four points with a little over a minute to go. They battled back and Drew Dibble connected on one of his four threes to cut it to one. After several foul and free throw sequences the Tigers collected a rebound with six seconds to go. With no time outs left Myles Hamilton went coast to coast and put up a floater that bounced around and finally fell off the rim. Drew Dibble led the Tigers in scoring with 14, Myles Hamilton put in 10 and Duncan Clark added nine while doing an excellent job on the defensive end. The Tigers have now lost 3 of 4 four games by a total of four points. These tough games will prove to have a positive effect on the team come February. The next game is Tuesday at 5:00pm at Ensworth Middle School.
