Tigers lose opener
In their first game of the season, the MS Baseball team lost a close 10-7 game to Ensworth. In the darkness-shortened 4-inning game the USN Tigers left the bases loaded twice to end innings; the opportunities to win were there, we were just unable to capitalize.
The Tigers were led offensively by Chanse Jones (2/3, 1B, 2B, 3RBI, 1 R) , James Douglas (2/2, 2 1B, 1 BB, 1 R) and Eli Motycka (1/1, 1B, RBI, 2 BB, 2 R).
Josh Yazdian and Bob Minton were solid on the mound for the Tigers. Josh was victimized by some defensive lapses early on, but battled through and had a solid day pitching. Bob came in and kept the Tigers close with 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief.
