Other Highlights:
-Our 6th grade boys took on a loaded field in the 1600. They came away with PR's (Cameron 5:29, Evan 5:30) and a lot to look forward to in the coming years!

-One of my favorite moments was seeing Holly and Lia laughing and talking as they prepared for the 4x200! Sometimes, we can get so focused that we lose sight of having fun. There is a sense of joy and accomplishment that comes from setting a big goal, pursuing that goal over several months, and finally achieving that goal. That sense was visible on the exhausted smiles of our athletes after they finished!

Team Scores:
Our Girls Team finished 4th overall with 70 points, and our Boys Team finished 3rd overall with 80 points (one point ahead of MBA). The typical top 3 teams in the HVAC (BA, MBA/HH, and Ensworth) are extremely strong and deep teams that produce top high school talent and are among the best in the state. To defeat all of the other teams (CPA, FRA, BGA, Lipscomb, DCA, and Harding) is impressive, and to break into the top 3 is a big accomplishment!

Final Thoughts:

-A special thank you to our wonderful coaches: Coach Rives, Coach Anderson, and Coach Ahmed. You can tell from how well our sprinters and sprint relays performed that Coach Rives did a great job this year!

Thank you, athletes and parents, and for a wonderful season!
Coach Moots
