USN Races at Home Finale

We managed to have a good final home meet despite rainy conditions! Field events and hurdles were skipped for safety reasons, but we ran well on the track.

In team scores, our Boys and Girls won, defeating DCA and Harding!

Other Highlights and Shout-outs:
-While there were no hurdles, Reed ran a 20.04 in a time trial by himself on Friday.
-Our girls 4x200 (Holly, Eva, Lia, Chloe) ran a season best 2:00.77 with little competition as they prepare for the HVAC next week.
-Eva (28.25), Chloe (28.26), and Eden (30.03) ran our 3 fastest 200 times of the season!
-Emma ran a PR in the 100 (15.60) in her first race back from injury.
-Joshua S. ran a 26.48 200 PR, Jackson (13.08/26.85) ran double 100/200 PR's, and Dwayne (13.84/28.94/64.65) ran triple 100/200/400 PR's!
-Cameron finished 2nd in the 1600 with a nearly 30-second PR of 5:33!
-The showdown in the boys 400 and 4x400 revealed our final two boys on the HVAC 4x400: Joshua G. (63.63) and Adrian (63.96)! Along with Joshua S. and Jonathan, they will chase sub-4:00 and the school record.

Girls: Eden Horton
-Eden ran a big PR in the 200 (30.03). Apparently, I told her last year that she wouldn't be a good sprinter (which I don't remember/probably said on the start line of a 1600), but she has proven me wrong! Her dedication and determination are attributes that will make her successful at whatever distance she runs.

Boys: Jordan Turner
-Jordan is undefeated in the hurdles, 100, and 200 this year. He also has the team leading marks in the HJ and 400 and the second best marks in the LJ and SP. He had a breakout performance at the HVAC last year as a 7th grader, and this year will compete in 6 events. He works hard daily, leads by example, wins with humility, and dominates the competition!
