The USN swimming team hosted Hume-Fogg on Tuesday. In our final home meet of the season, we set aside time to honor the class of 2015. The boys' and girls' teams both won, giving our combined team the overall win.
Girls' individual winners included:
-Natalie TeSelle (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly)
-Trudy Zou (40 freestyle, 100 freestyle)
-Elena Escalas (100 breaststroke)
-Katie Watke (100 backstroke)
Our girls split up for relays and had some exciting intra-team competition in both the medley and freestyle relays.
New Region qualifying times came from Evelyn Teselle and Jessica Mei, who both qualified in the 100 freestyle, and from Claire Saxon, Marie Gerber and Elena Escalas, who all qualified in the 200 freestyle.
Our Standout swims came from Effie Zuberer-Davis, who swam two lifetime bests in the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke; Mary Niarhos, who posted three lifetime bests!
On the boys' side, the senior boys (Tebyn Chittester, Mackenzie Myers, Neil Zheng, and Kellon Patey) started off by winning the 160 medley relay but were beat by the underclassmen team of Jack Reed, Kevin Chen, Joshua Twillie, and Curtis Patey.

-Joshua Twillie (160 IM, 100 freestyle)
-Curtis Patey (40 freestyle)
Other highlights came from:
-Skye Cameron, who dropped 9 seconds in his 100 butterfly to earn his first Region qualifying time
-Benjamin Harris, who dropped 8 seconds in his 100 freestyle and 3 more in his 100 backstroke
-Foster Cook, who earned his first Region cut in the 100 breaststroke
Our swimmers of the meet were Skye Cameron and Effie Zuberer-Davis.
The Tigers return to competition this Saturday at Ensworth in a Divisional meet including Ensworth, Father Ryan, JP2 , and St. Cecilia.
