On Thursday, April 27, Middle School and High School dancers will present their end-of-semester performance at 7 p.m. in Durnan Auditorium. "Free/Form" is the realization and embodiment of our lived experiences: of shape, of body, of creativity, and of freedom.
The concept of freedom has taken on a multitude of forms in our creative explorations this semester — from conversations about our school’s community to the ever-present complexity of freedom in our local community and the world. With this inspiration in mind, dancers in the High School created a diverse and truly exciting array of student-choreographed works. Through our dances we embrace the possibilities of movement, the opportunities of creative expression, and the sensation of freedom we feel when we dance.
Our Middle School dancers have similarly connected to the meaning and joy behind their movement, and they look forward to sharing their work, “Permission to Dance.”
UNISON Dance is excited to share with you this evening of dance and entertainment. We know that this performance, as the culmination of our freedom, will carry this sentiment throughout our school community.
The senior has been awarded one of the most highly selective merit scholarships in the nation, making it two consecutive years that University of Virginia has selected a USN student for a full ride covering the cost of instruction, housing, and meals.
