Confidence is Key

In a close match USN earned two wins in hard fought sets! 25-22 and 25-23!
Even when the sets were close, the USN Tigers kept focusing on themselves and what they could control. Rather than being worried about the other team catching up, this young group stayed confident in their own abilities and supported each other with super loud cheers and never-wavering belief in their teammates! Neither USN nor Ensworth maintained a huge lead over the other as both sides tried to gain separation. USN's strength in serving helped keep them ahead. 6 out of 7 of the team’s servers were able to earn aces throughout the match! The USN Tigers earned 15 aces total with Leela Jain leading the team with 5 aces, followed by Evan Miller Austill with 4 aces! They were able to help lead the team to victory winning both sets, 25-22 and 25-23!

As this team’s confidence grows, so will their skill! As they stop second guessing themselves and start getting more comfortable with the sport, there will be many more awesome rallies, miraculous plays, and creative cheering to make this season special! Great job and go USN!
