USN hosts November 2 reception for artist mikewindy
Join USN's Art Department as it celebrates the opening of mikewindy's collection, "Where All The Things I Forgot Go," in the Christine Slayden Tibbott Center Art Gallery on Thursday, November 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. His exhibit will feature an interactive public rubber stamp station created in collaboration with Middle School students from Art Teacher Andy King's drawing class.

USN will celebrate its second visiting artist of the year, mikewindy, with a gallery opening reception on Thursday, November 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Christine Slayden Tibbott Center Art Gallery. His collection, "Where All The Things I Forgot Go," will be on display November 1-28 and features art exposed to outdoor elements and completed over long durations. The artist, also known as Mike Mitchell, has been on campus working with Middle Schoolers in Art Teacher Andy King's drawing class to create an interactive, public rubber stamp station for his exhibit. In addition to being an intermedia artist, Mitchell is also an art educator at Tennessee State University. His complete bio is available here.
