Seth ’28 selected for Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble
The eighth grader, who plays piano, auditioned with over 110 students and was one of the 44 students selected to join two 22-piece big band jazz performance ensembles.

Seth Hauser ’28 auditioned and earned a spot in the Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble, an educational and performing jazz big band for Middle Tennessee students in Grades 8-12. Hauser was one of over 110 students who registered to audition for two 22-piece big band jazz performance ensembles. His selection as a pianist is an honor to celebrate. Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble is a community-based nonprofit organization that supports jazz education, nurturing a love of the genre and providing a high-quality performance opportunity.
The senior has been awarded one of the most highly selective merit scholarships in the nation, making it two consecutive years that University of Virginia has selected a USN student for a full ride covering the cost of instruction, housing, and meals.
