Update student emergency alert contacts V1old
We will test our Emergency Alert System at noon Wednesday, September 21. This system is used when weather-related events alter the school day and during other school emergencies. The emergency contacts in your student's website profile listed in the "active” column and marked as “Emergency Only” or “Every Time” are the numbers and emails included in this system. They should be updated by 11 p.m. Tuesday, September 20th to be included in this test.

Please take a moment to check your student's emergency contacts listing for inclusion in a test of our Emergency Alert System at noon Wednesday, September 21.
Now is a good time to review the emergency alert settings in the Emergency Contacts section of your student's profile at usn.org. Updates to profiles made by 11 p.m. Tuesday, September 20 will be included in the test.
We use this Emergency Alert System to send voice calls, text messages, and emails when the weather alters our school day and in the case of other emergencies. Our Emergency Alert System is a separate system from our normal communications channels, and since it involves phone calls, text messages, and emails, it requires an opt-in system such that parents & guardians can choose the best strategy for their family’s needs.

Log in with your parent account at usn.org/app, navigate to your student's information screen, find your student's “Contact Card” in the horizontal navigation bar, and scroll down to the Emergency Contacts section to manage the phone and email contacts. Please note updates are made in the profile/contact card of your student, not your parent profile screen. Contacts you’ve included in the system previously are now indicated as such.
After you click on "manage," the emails and numbers included in this special Emergency Alert System should be dragged into the “Active” column and then set to “Emergency Only” or “Every Time.” While we like having your emergency contacts, the only numbers and emails used in this system are those you place in the active column and are marked as "Every Time" or "Emergency Only.” The inactive column can be used as a “library” from which you can pull contacts as needed, and look for the link there to add a contact that’s not listed.
See the included video walkthrough for a visual reference. No action is needed if the numbers and emails have been used correctly in previous school years for early morning snow days or late start phone calls. New families with new information since the last school year are encouraged to review the settings in their student's profile. If you need help, please call your Division Office for assistance.

Spring sports season ends with podium finishes, trophies
The girls lacrosse team ended its season in overtime to become state runner-up. Tennis players Carter Kojetin '29 finished as a state quarterfinalist, Sophie Oliver '26 and Mary Kate Adler '28 finished as state semifinalists, and Veer Kodali '29 and Max Parker '29 finished as state champions. Middle School Quiz Bowl competes at national championship
The Middle School Quiz Bowl finished off another successful season with a trip to the Middle School National Championship Tournament in Chicago. The team fought hard and ended the season as a top-100 program in the country, finishing 75th overall. Congratulations to the team on a great performance and to Lucas Lupu ’31, named an All Star for being the fifth-highest scorer nationwide.Read More
