recap game #7

Zaf Ahmed
We took to the Sportsplex yesterday with another tough opponent in the Centennial/Page HS CoOp team, but that did not deter our Team 15 skaters in a well contested game.
Continued excellent GOALIE play by Carson Dorfman kept this game close (0-4 score) despite taking 33 quality shots on goal. Our tenet for this game was to shoot and crash the net, but our team fell short of said goal.
Drake Dixon and Abi Wagner managed to pick pocket our opponents and create some offense. Gavin Gordon managed to get our very first fighting penalty (tongue in cheek), a highlight considering Gavin is such a laid back guy! Chris Free, Charlie Ford and Joe Orem skated and stick handled with passion only to fall short.
We are half way through the GNASH schedule that seems to be loaded with the top tier teams and our hope is it post a win sometime soon. If you have been witness to our games, then I hope you have observed improved play from game #1. We still have work to do!!
