Artclectic 2018 wraps up superlative year

by Michelle Rosen, Artclectic co-chair

The annual art show and sale are anticipated to have raised a record amount for the Artclectic Endowment for Innovative Teaching.
Last month’s art show, Artclectic, was one for the record books, with many firsts, and many highlights.

For the first time ever, we featured a USN student art show adjacent to Artclectic in the Tibbott Gallery.

Another first: Popclectic boasted more vendors than ever, and even spread onto the outdoor walkway and courtyard with gourmet goodies and fall family activities.

The event had the highest sponsorship revenue ever, and the second highest number of patron ticket sales ever. The parties were fabulous affairs, our art was stunning, and our buyers let us know, with the second all-time highest gross in art sales (nearly $270,000), and our highest average purchase ever ($330).

A hearty thank you to everyone who bought art, volunteered, or put out a yard sign. We couldn’t have done it without you. We hope you’ll all agree this year’s show had the best artists, the best sponsors, the best volunteers, and the best reason to do it all in the first place – the Artclectic Endowed Fund for Innovative Teaching. Though we’re still finalizing numbers, we’re optimistic about making perhaps the largest contribution ever to help fund projects and professional development that help give USN students the best education in town.
