USN Hockey Takes the Ice!

Coach Ahmed
With great deliberation our hockey team donned their skates and pads for our very first game, and came away with a well contested game at the Centennial Sportsplex!

Although it was a 0-7 loss to Ensworth/Nolensville our skaters played hard. Eventually fatigue played a significant role in the last period since we were outnumbered 2 lines versus 4 lines.

Player of the Game - Our goalie Carson Dorfman took a lot of shots and manged some outstanding saves @ 24 shots on goal. On several occasions Carson was able track a flyer and make a clean glove save!

Honorable mention includes -  For their first ever hockey game Gavin Gordon and Will Bailey played sound hockey with very few mistakes.

Our coach's biggest takeaway "everyone put forth great effort and skated hard. Now we know the speed and intensity of a game, and we need to match that in practice! Way to go Team #15!!"
