by Anne Westfall, director of development

Claudia Huskey joined USN in August and will lead the Annual Fund in its $1.5 million goal this school year.
Join us in welcoming Claudia Huskey as University School of Nashville’s Annual Fund director. Claudia joins USN after working in development and Tennessee politics for more than 13 years. Most recently, Claudia served as campaign manager for Council Member Megan Barry’s campaign for mayor. After leading the campaign for a successful election of the first female mayor of Nashville, Claudia managed transition operations and inauguration planning for Mayor-Elect Barry. She was appointed senior advisor in the administration, coordinating hiring of key staff, supervising Metro department support for hundreds of special events in Nashville, and maintaining over 70 Metro boards and commissions.

Claudia serves on the board of the Center for Nonprofit Management and the Board of Trustees for West End United Methodist Church. Claudia was in the 2009 Class of Nashville Emerging Leaders and in 2014 was one of the Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

A graduate of University of Iowa, Claudia resides in East Nashville with her husband Bill, her sons, Liam (age 2) and Jack (age 4 months), and rescue golden retriever, Lucy (age 6). Her family enjoys walking the Nashville Greenways, attending lots of live music events and community festivals, as well as cheering on the Nashville Predators.

In her new role, Claudia replaces Sam Jackson, who has moved to become USN's associate director of special gifts in addition to serving as executive director of Horizons at USN.
