USN Tallies Another Win

Coach Mayo
Another good day for our boys' tennis team.  Once again our TIGERS played very well on another very hot late summer day. It was really hot and humid but our young men did not let the heat keep them from continuing their winning ways.  The TIGERS defeated CPA in a dual match 5-0 at the River Campus.

Today we had very good play from our competitive players and I am expecting all of them to peak for the HVAC Tennis Tournament on Sept. 21-22.  Henry Stack won easily at number one singles 8-0. Julius Fox won also at number two singles 8-3 and Geofrey Friedman won as he defeated his number three opponent 8-2.  Again I like the competitive spirit the team shows.  At  number one doubles the twin towers also know as Bennett Dickerson and Max Elliot swamped their opponents 8-0.  We are encouraging them to become more aggressive as they tower over their foes.  They look like giants on the court and we are trying to get them to use that image to intimidate whoever they play but only in a good sportsmanship way.  Likewise we have an imposing number two doubles team in Townsend Stevenson and Harry Ftizgibbon.  They continue to win handily at there position.  Again I believe they will have a great season and tournament.

Thanks also to  the Rudolph family jfor providing our snacks for our match.  All our players are working hard as the season races quickly along.  Hard to believe the tournament is only two plus weeks away.  Come support our young fighting TIGERS!
