Tigers Compete at Singles and Doubles Championships
Mia Pretorius ’19 and George Corzine ’19 represented the Tigers in singles at the individual state championships, while Arjun Dasari '19/Clayton Jelsma '19 and Christopher Corkum '19/Joseph Weil '18 both earns spots in the doubles draw.
Corzine advanced to the semifinals, knocking out Knox Webb's Aikin, 6-4, 6-2. The junior stumbled in the next round and settled for a final-four finish.
Pretorius, Dasari/Jelsma, and Corkum/Weil fought fiercely, but ultimately fell in their respective quarterfinal matchups.
Both Pretorius and Corzine were honored at the Tennessean Sports Awards as finalists in the 'Tennis Player of the Year' category.
