Rebecca Harwood '18 wins the humorous essay contest for her piece "The Ballad of Julius Cheeser."
USN alumna Susan Yeagley '89 and Kevin Nealon invited their friend and fellow funnyman Dana Carvey to join them in announcing their annual Leaky Pen winner: Rebecca Harwood '18.  Mia Greenberg '18 was the runner-up.

This essay contest, open to USN seniors, invites students to earn fame and a $1,000 fortune for a humorous essay. This year's topic, "That Rattling Is Always There," prompted some fabulous responses. Click here to read Rebecca's essay on taxidermy and rats, and click here to read Mia's piece on a cassette tape indulgence.

Each year, USN sends the essays off to Los Angeles to be judged by Susan Yeagley, Kevin Nealon, and a celebrity guest. The announcement comes by way of video, filmed at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood this year. Click here to watch the announcement.
