USN Competes at Inman Relays

Inman Relays Recap:
We had a great meet last Wednesday/Friday at Ensworth!

The official results are linked above, though I know there are a couple errors. Jonathan's discus is incorrect (I saw him throw 101 ft!) and the girls' MDMR was on the wrong starting line (they corrected it for the boys)... I believe Kate, Jamie, and Lorelei may have run longer... They also didn't score the field events in a relay format...

On that note, we should appreciate Coach Ahmed and his diligence in timing and meet direction! Not all coaches in the area are as knowledgable or as conscientious as he!

Relay splits are also linked, but remember they are unofficial. You may have run 210 meters or 190 meters in your 4x200, and I may have hit my watch a second too fast or a second too slow. However, they are a good indicator!

Tiger Relays of the Week:
Instead of Tigers of the Week, we will award the prize to our two winning relays:
-On the girls' side, the Sprint Medley Relay (Holly-100, Alima-100, Chloe-200, Eva-400) won with an impressive time of 1:58.69 and earned "champion" t-shirts!
-On the boys' side, the 4x800 (Christopher, Tate, Piers, Jonathan) earned their shirts by all setting big PR's and running an amazing 46 seconds faster than their previous season best!

Other highlights:
-The girl's 4x400 (Holly, Alima, Chloe, Eva) placed 3rd and ran 4:35.13, which is exactly 1 second away from the school record (4:34.13).
-The boy's 4x400 (Jordan, Joshua G., Jonathan, Joshua S.) also came close to the school record (3:58.76) and placed 2nd with a 4:00.93.
-On the girls' side, the 4x1600 and DMR both placed 2nd, with great anchor legs from Eleanor (4x1600) and Frances (DMR) to out duel Brentwood Academy.
-On the boys' side, the MDMR (Brandon, Tre, Adrian, Oliver) had some big PR's, while the all-6th grade DMR (Cameron, Thayer, Simon, Evan) placed 3rd in a strong field. Our Shuttle Hurdle Relay (Jordan, Oliver, Tate) also placed third, led by a strong opening leg from Jordan (who's splits/marks were incredibly good in all 5 of his events).
