A few runs by the Honey Bears gave them the edge and the Tigers couldn't come back.
A strong first half from the Tigers, but it wasn't enough to contain Harpeth Hall. The USN defensive unit was solid, holding HH to only low percentage shots. They were quickly frustrated as the Tigers were making contact and disrupting the attack. A few lucky rebounds and a few small mistakes gave Harpeth Hall the lead at the half, 8-3.
The second half was much of the same-- strong defense that was eventually out-matched by the stick skills and speed of the Honey Bears.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Olivia Dossett with two goals. Ella Steinhilber and Courtney Rabb each added one. Courtney was especially strong defensively, grabbing five caused turnovers. Ella had four draw controls which helped give us more offensive possessions. Madeline Baxter had a huge game in goal with eleven saves.
The Tigers are continuing to play well toward the end of the season, which shows promise for the post-season tournament coming up in just a couple weeks.
