USN sent two talented mock trial teams to the district competition last weekend. One team got a fourth-place finish, and the other team was led by the official best lawyer for the defense of the entire competition.
USN sent two talented mock trial teams to the district competition Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24. One team got a fourth-place finish, and the other team was led by the official best lawyer for the defense of the entire competition.
Led by five seniors, we divided the leadership and formed two teams of equal strength. Both teams were fantastic, and now our Mock Trial team has so many underclassmen who have now experienced what it is like to compete on a high level. Our leaders should have a lot to proud of with regard to the legacy they will leave behind.
Those senior leaders were: Benjamin Maloy Eliza Lola Motley Betsy Nolan Leigh Fox Mary Niarhos
The Blue Team ended up placing fourth overall in a field of 18 teams. Ben Maloy was the team MVP.
The Maroon Team did not place in the top five, but certainly fared well. Betsy Nolan was not only the team MVP but she also won Best Lawyer for the Defense among all the lawyers in the entire competition.
The rest of our competitors were:
Annlyn Zinke Ariel Hong Ashleigh Grindon Claire Kim Cooper Standard Ethan Li Evan Mukherji Evan Rork Haley Harris Isha Upender Kaitlyn Starks Madeleine Aikin Rachel Becker Shriya Karam Henry Standard Sydney Stevenson Yoshi D'Souza Zoe Light
Last but not least, here is a list of all the amazing lawyer helpers:
Ben Raybin '03 Marsh Nichols Ben Katz Tim Warnock
Give congratulations to all of these participants when you see them.
