It was a beautiful afternoon on the MBA courts as the USN team played well and gained a lot of experience and had some outstanding performances from several players. First I want to say that I was proud of all our young Tigers and the effort they all gave. It was a great experience for all seven members of the competition team.
At number one singles Marcus Fontenot pulled out a very close win for USN in a 8-6 victory as he won the last two games in a tightly fought match. The match went back and forth and Marcus showed a lot of determination to take the win. Henry Stack, Julius Fox and Neal Bagai all had hard fought sets coming up just short of a win but showed why they will be players that will do well in the future. At number one doubles Stack and Fox won a thrilling match beating MBA's number one duo 6-4.Geoffrey Friedman and Bennett Dickerson played well in their doubles match and so did Neal Bagai and Hugh Greenfield. We are proud of our team and all the Stripes and Claws that will help USN Tennis in the days to come.
