Junior High Chess Team places second at state championship

Our team won three out of four matches and finished in second place at the State Chess Championship.
Our team of Ria Patel, Esha Karam, Kunaal Saggi, Stewart Hall, and Lang Skarda (not pictured) won three out of four matches and finished in second place at the State Chess Championship behind the only team we lost to, White Station from Memphis.
Congratulations to all of these Middle Schoolers, and a special thanks to the excellent coaching, enthusiasm, and encouragement from Coach Todd Andrews.
On Friday, May 9, members of the MS Quiz Bowl team traveled to Chicago to compete against schools from across the country in the National Academic Quiz Tournament Middle School National Championship.
