In a lot of cases, the results were by huge leaps and bounds: Graham Shockley cut 10 seconds in his 500 free, Ashleigh Grindon and Francesca Kusserow cut four seconds in the 100 breast, Ittai Eden cut another second in the 50, Josh Twillie went 1:03.4 in the 100 breast and then anchored our 400 free relay in 49.6 a few minutes later, Curtis Patey went from 53.0 to 51.6 in the 100, Jessica Mei cut four seconds in her 200 free, Katie Watke dropped 11 seconds in the 500, Trudy Zou crushed the 1:10 barrier in the 100 breast, and Abby Liff swam huge best times in all her events.
Special congratulations to Mia Pretorius (100 fly), Shockley (500 free), Patey (100 free), Ian Brash (100 breast), Annie French (100 breast), and Elliott Clark (100 breast) for making their state cuts. A huge thank you to Puja Jagasia, who ended her High School swimming career on about the best note possible.
