Galleries will display student work, and the opening reception is 4 to 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Recent works by USN K-12 students will be on display in the Edgehill Lobby Gallery and in the Tibbott Center Gallery. The Meacham Gallery will feature works by our young Lower School artists. Exhibits will celebrate with opening receptions in all three galleries from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9. This reception is a chance to catch a glimpse of the impressive work being produced in all of our visual arts studios this fall.
On display in the Tibbott Gallery will be an installation of “Peace Flags” created at the beginning of the year when 50 students contributed their talents and energy to create a stunning collaboration between High School and Middle School. Also included in the exhibit will be ceramic cars which were inspired and created by Emily Holt’s sixth graders after visiting “Bellisima! Italian Renaissance Cars” at the Frist Center for Visual Arts.
Other highlights are from Peg Williams' seventh and eighth-grade 2D class and include a painting on glass collaboration by Acadia Lequire ’22 and Nell Cox ’22 depicting the details someone remembers when passing others in a crowd. You will also not want to miss seventh grader Rosalie Hinke’s large painting of the “Universe,” so please join us for punch and cookies at 4 pm. Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Ceramics, painting, drawing, photography, and mixed-media works by students in all three divisions at USN will be on exhibit until Wednesday, Dec. 14.
