The Tigers traveled to Colombia, TN to compete against Zion Christian Academy on Tuesday, August 23. Knowing that Zion was a top team in the district, the Tigers knew they had to bring their A game to compete and win. Playing a match short two varsity players is not how USN wanted to present themselves to Zion, however, they were ready to play their hardest no matter the lineup. Lindsay Hardy set the tone for the match. Playing hard every point and proving to her team how strong they really were. Hardy finished the match with a total of 19 kills, two blocks and 5 aces. Caroline was right behind her with 18 kills and a strong presence on the floor. Daley Hall (setter) also had a strong match with 39 assists, 6 digs and 2 aces. Jade Williams held the backrow together with her flawless serve receive and passing. Although the statistics were great for the Tigers, they fell just short of a victory against Zion. Each set was determined by just a handful of points (20-25, 23-25, 26-24, 22-25). The Tigers were disappointed in the outcome, but they are eager to see Zion again and finished with a WIN!
