Debbie Roth: Why I Teach
I teach because it makes me happy. Each day my students come to school with an enthusiasm for learning. There is nothing more satisfying than watching the expression on their faces when they tackle a difficult task, persevere, then experience success.
I love the challenge of finding new ways to inspire my students to become lifelong learners. I’ve seen many of my students cross the stage as they accept their high school diploma. Knowing that I've played a small role in that gives me joy.
