HS Students Excel in Chemistry Olympiad

Eight students traveled to Tennessee Tech to take part in the Local Section of the American Chemical Society's Chemistry Olympiad.
Eight students traveled to Tennessee Tech to take part in the Local Section of the American Chemical Society's Chemistry Olympiad.
The test consists of a multiple choice exam and two different experiments. Elijah Hong, Corry Ke, Jay Karp, Henry Rieniets, Trudy Zou, Mathis Leblanc, Barbara Xiong, and Gavin Clark made for two formidable four-person teams.
Barbara and Gavin both finished in the top 10, moving on to the National Exam in April. Henry Rieniets and Trudy Zou were just outside the top 10. Our two four-person teams finished 7th and 8th in the team competition.
