The varsity teams of Paul Reich and William Gilliland, and Zach Babat and Hannah Wolfson, were eliminated with losses in the sixth round of competition, good for 3-3 records on the weekend. Akash Kurupassery and Jessica Mei also finished 3-3 after winning their final debate.
The novice teams of Annie French and Arjun Dasari, Shriya Karam and Haley Harris, and Alex Dano and Sonali Dasari, all finished with 4-2 records. Annie and Arjun (7th seed), along with Shriya and Haley (6th seed), reached the quarterfinal round, where they lost decisions to MBA. Haley, Annie, and Hannah were the division's 5th, 6th, and 7th place speakers.
The team is already gearing up for one of the last regional competitions of the season at the University of Georgia.
As part of a longstanding tradition, retired teachers and professionals from USN over the years came together to celebrate, connect, and reminisce during their annual luncheon in Durnan Auditorium.
It is common to have five or more University School of Nashville student-athletes sign college athletic commitment letters each year, and this year, USN saw eight more student-athletes commit to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
