ESPN Classic vs FRA

In case you missed this game I am assuming it will end up on ESPN Classic in the near future. The first game feature what can only be described as a heavy weight boxing match, with both participants going blow for blow. After the final time out was called at 22-23 USN unfortunately dropped the game 25-23. Little did we know that this would have been the least interesting of the games to be played that day. With a combined 60 points scored in game 2 USN prevailed 31-29 to even the series! Backed by nerves of steel USN came from behind to tie up this gem late in the game. The Tigers broke FRA’s serve at 22, again at 23, and again at 24 displaying the fundamentals and determination we have practiced all year. That defensive effort helped sparked an offense that desperately wanted to hit. After falling behind 29-28 USN won the point to tie. Aasha Zinke once again put the team on her back and proceeded to serve the go ahead and game winning points (the gym went nuts)! But wait there’s more! Fast forward to game point of game 3… FRA is serving for the win at 14-7, after a rally I thought would never end, we finally won the point and set up Aasha for yet another improbable run…and we ran. 14-8, 14-9, 14-10, 14-11 Time out FRA (they were nervous and rightfully so), 14-12, 14-13! USN fell just 1 point short losing 15-13 in what was a series that gave me more gray hairs that I can ever imagine. There were no hung heads after the game just a fire in the belly of some athletes that knew they wanted more.
