Early in the season, our Tigers played a tremendous game against a talented JPII team and came out with a 2 goal win.
The first half of the first round of the state tournament was a different story. The Knights came out quickly and took advantage of every mistake that we made. The score was quickly 5-0, and the Tigers were struggling to rally. The half-time score was 11-1.
The second half we were going to focus on what we do well and have as much fun as possible. JPII extended the lead to 14-1 early in the second-- it took us some time to find our groove. The last 20 minutes of the game was all USN. We won that period of time 7-2. We transitioned quickly, we won the draw, and we made big stops on defense. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late and USN took the loss to end the season.
What a talented team! We had a great year and we are proud to be USN Tigers.
