HS Bowling teams continue successful campaigns

The girls' bowling team lost to top-ranked JPII 22.5-4.5 last Thursday at Holder Family Fun Center. Our girls bowled well throughout the day, almost matching their season-best pinfall, but could not match the high scores that the Lady Knights consistently put up. Our girls were led by Caroline Zhao with a 142, Joanna Harwood, who bowled a 140 on the way to a 3-0 day, and Jing Dai with a 139.

The girls dropped a 21-6 decision to Harpeth Hall at Donelson Plaza Strike & Spare on Tuesday. Our girls bowled a very solid first game, losing by just 30 pins. Harpeth Hall kept up the fine bowling, while we were unable to keep pace, enabling the Honey Bears to pull away for the win. Our team was led today by Lila Weiss and Joanna Harwood, each with a 132 game.

The boys' bowling team picked up their fourth win in a row last Thursday, defeating JPII 14-13 at Holder Family Fun Center. The boys had a great start to the day, winning the first two games and taking an 11-5 lead. The Knights responded with a huge last game, but our boys were able to win three matches to secure the victory. Our team was led by Jordan Burnett with a 177 and Jordan Moore with a 170; Adam Lindsey bowled a career-high with a 152.

The boys lost to MBA 17-10 Tuesday at Donelson Plaza Strike & Spare. The two teams traded wins in the first two games, with our Tigers holding a 9-7 lead heading into the final game. Some timely strikes by the Big Red along with some bad breaks for the Tigers allowed MBA to win the final game and the match. Our team was led by Nick Gregory with a 179 game and Jordan Burnett with a 163.
