District win over Zion Christian keeps the Tigers on top of the District

Attacking shape kept the tigers on top for the last district game of the regular season.  USN capitalized on a cross from Jenna Fassinger, sent into the box, where Nora Lee was there to finish off a header, making the score 1-0. Six minutes later in the first half, Kensi Juszkiewicz sent a nice ball in the box from the right side to Skylar King, who fired a shot passed the goalkeeper, scoring the final goal of the first half.
Thirty seconds into the second half, Savannah Groos played a long ball from the back, up and over the midfield. Kaitlyn Rabb controlled the ball, dribbled passed the Zion defenders, and scored far post, scoring the final goal of the game, making the final score 3-0.
The tiger defenders made it hard for Zion to cross over the half, only allowing a few opportunities for Zion. Katie Roth finished the game in goal with another shut out.
The tigers will be back in action on Thursday, October 2nd at the River Campus against CPA at 4:30.
