USN tigers had control from the opening whistle. Kara Jade Gordon got the tigers on the board in the 3rd minute of the game, taking advantage of her speed, from midfield, winning the tackle, and beating the goalkeeper 1v1 for the first goal of the goal, but not her last. In the 16th minute of the first half, Kaitlyn Rabb played a pass to Gordon, who rifled a shot passed the goalkeeper to give USN a 2-0 advantage at half.
The tigers continued to bring pressure and keep possession in the second half, holding off a few of Harpeth's shot attempts from good defending from Kelly McHugh and Savannah Groos.
Gordon was not finished with her scoring, adding the third goal of the game, from a through pass from Karishma Patel. Gordon finished the game with a hat trick.
The fourth goal of the game came from Courtney Rabb, who used her speed, skill and athleticism to beat the opponent down the left side to fire a shot, over the goalkeeper, making the score 4-0.
The final goal of the game came from a corner kick by Ella Varney, sending the ball into the box, where Kensi Juszkiewicz was there to finish, to secure the lead, 5-0.
Katie Roth received the shut out, first of the season.
