The Tigers started the day off with a win against Trousdale County where they won 25-18 & 20-19. After a slow start and being down in the first game, the Tigers rallied together and went on a serving streak! They added 10 digs in the second game and started the day off on a high note.
Wilson County:
Tigers went up against a tough opponent, Wilson Central, in the second match of the day. Caroline Knowles, Ellie Greenfield, and Emily Bridgers lead the pack in the front row with a combined 3 kills. By going up against such a tough opponent, the Tigers learned how important it is to work together and learn from their mistakes.
East Robertson:
For the third game of the day the Tigers faced East Robertson. They put in 24 digs as a team and Camille Townson lead the team with 1 block! Even though the outcome wasn't in our favor, it was a very close game and the Tigers played a great game. The final scores against East Robertson were 20-25 & 15-25.
Station Camp:
The toughest opponent of the day was when the Tigers played Station Camp. The Tigers showed promising moments in serve receive throughout the match, but fell short in the end. The Tigers continued to improve in each area of the game, but couldn't pull it out in the end.
JPII:
The Tigers went out with a bang in the final match of the day! The opponent JPII brought their A-Game and so did the Tigers. The first game was point for point where the Tigers pulled out the win in the end with a final score of 28-26. Each player stepped up in their role on the team and the Tigers were able to continually improve upon each area of their game. This was by far their best match of the day! It was filled with passion, excitement, and hard work.
As part of a longstanding tradition, retired teachers and professionals from USN over the years came together to celebrate, connect, and reminisce during their annual luncheon in Durnan Auditorium.
It is common to have five or more University School of Nashville student-athletes sign college athletic commitment letters each year, and this year, USN saw eight more student-athletes commit to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
