Tigers Drop Overtime Thriller at Home

Will Mantlo
The Tigers had every opportunity and then some to get their first league win on Tuesday night. Once again they jumped on their opponent early and opened up a 12-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. Going into halftime the game was tied and would remain close the whole way. Because of several unforced turnovers the Tigers found themselves down 5 with a little less than 3 minutes to go and showed a lot of fight to climb back in the game with solid defense and good execution of offense. In overtime the Tigers fell behind by 2 and had a shot at the last second that hit the back rim. The Tigers shot the ball from the field very well at 48.3%, but the 20 turnovers they committed were just too much to overcome. Alex Bahner paced the Tigers again with 10 points and 7 rebounds while Duncan Clark and Myles Hamilton each chipped in 8. The Tigers look forward to two solid days of practice and learning to prepare for their next HVAC opponent, BGA, who they will face at home Friday in the Sperling Arena.
