29% of the Class of 2011 has been recognized in the National Merit competition: 12 are named Semifinalists, 13 are Commended, 1 is a National Achievement Semifinalist, and 1 is National Achievement Commended student.
The 2010 National Merit Semifinalists are Madeleine Booth, Mattis Deutch, Emily Guest, William Knowles, Ben Kurland, Emma LaBounty, Eliot Linton, George Meyer, Charlotte Owens, Michael Reiland, Neal Richardson, and Thalia Spinrad. Charlotte Owens is also a semifinalist in the National Achievement competition.
Commended students are McKenzie Andrews, Melissa Carlson, Tim Creavin, Hannah Deegan, Will Johns, Trey Manning, Ike May, Kuan Peng, Emma Pingree-Cannon, Keanan Smith, Jimmy Thomas, Sonal Walia, and Gray Yarbrough. Trey Leeper is commended in the National Achievement competition.
