Last night, the JV middle school girl’s basketball team traveled to Ensworth for their first competition of the season.  After a long month of practice, the girls were ready to play.  Their nerves got the best of them for most of the first half and Ensworth was able to convert many of our turnovers.

However, the true USN Tigers came out in the second half ready to fight their way back into the game.  Led by the defensive efforts of Kaitlyn Rabb and Kara-Jade Gordon, the girls were able to get some big steals.  Elena Escalas and Anna Hinman worked hard to grab defensive rebounds.  Unfortunately, the deficit from the first half was too much to conquer and the JV girls fell to Ensworth 16-34.

Scoring Leaders
Elena Escales - 7
Anna Hinman - 4
Kaitlyn Rabb - 3
Imani Birdine - 2

Next game: Friday, 1/8 @ Harding Academy, 6pm
